St. Cloud’s Press Bar To Be Under New Ownership

ST. CLOUD -- The Press Bar in downtown St. Cloud is set to be under new ownership.

Andrew and Jessie Welsh of St. Joseph are set to take over for current owners Jim Gillespie and Greg Payne in the coming weeks.

"[Gillespie and Payne] were great to work with," says Jessie Welsh, who currently owns A and G Produce in St. Joseph with her husband, Andrew.

"The opportunity came up and we're looking forward to the business aspect," says Welsh, who declined to confirm when the transition will take effect.

"Right now, we're taking it one step at a time."

The St. Cloud City Council will schedule a public hearing for April 18th at tonight's (Monday) meeting. The new owners will then apply for a liquor license at that meeting.
