ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud City Council transferred one liquor license, approved one new one, and tabled the approval of another during Monday night's meeting.

First, they approved the transfer of the liquor license currently held by the owners of Grizzly's Grill in the mall.

They plan to close that restaurant and open a new business called The Boulder Tap House and Grill in the vacant Timberlodge Steakhouse building.

Second, a liquor license was granted to a new business called Biology 701.  It will be located in the former Quiznos building in downtown St. Cloud.

The owners say it will be a combination vegetarian restaurant and gay-friendly night club.  Remodeling is already underway and it's expected to be open in a few weeks.

However, the council tabled the discussion for a request for a liquor license for a restaurant called Cowboy Jacks in downtown St. Cloud.  City officials say they have made a number of attempts to contact the owners since they made their initial application request in July, but have had a difficult time contacting the owners.

There's also some questions regarding the building and health inspections.
