ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce announced its 2016 business award winners on Wednesday.

Sue Borgert of Borgert Products is the 2016 St. Cloud area small business owner of the year. Borgert Concrete Products was established in 1923 by Lawrence Borgert.

Sue Borgert joined the company in 1982 to sell pavers and by 1992 assumed a leadership role. She acquired sole ownership in 2006. During that time the business doubled in size from 25 employees to 54 employees. Today, the company manufactures concrete paving stones, retaining walls and slabs.

CWMF Coorporation, formerly known as Custom Welding and Metal Fabrication, has been picked as the 2016 Business Central Mark of Excellence: Family Owned Business of the Year. The company is owned by second generation family members, siblings Carmie, Travis and Brian Mick.

CWMF is best know for its heavy duty asphalt equipment and custom fabrication. Since 2007, when Loren Mick's children started taking over leadership, the company has nearly tripled in revenue and has grown from 16 to 34 employees.

Blattner Energy has been awarded the 2016 Entrepreneurial Success Award. Since 1997, the company has grown from 450 employees to 3,200 and increased their revenue from $72 million in sales to $1.3 billion.

Scott Blattner, president of Blattner Energy, says the company reached its position with dedication and commitment of its family, company leaders and employees.

Blattner Energy, Sue Borgert and Carmie, Travis and Brian Mick will all be honored at the 2016 St. Cloud Area Small Business Awards Luncheon on May 3rd at the Holiday Inn and Suites from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is open to everyone and the cost is $19 to attend.
