The Washington Nationals won their first World Series with a 6-2 win at Houston over the Astros in Game 7 Wednesday night.  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  He talked about how impressive it was for the Nationals to beat the Dodgers and their great pitching staff and to beat Justin Verlander, Garrit Cole and Zach Greinke in route to the title.  Listen to our conversation below.

The Timberwolve suffered their first loss at Philadelphia Wednesday night.  Karl-Anthony Towns got into a fight with Joel Embeed.  Jim thought the competition the physicality of the play was why this happened and doesn't think either player is a bad guy.

The Minnesota lost again Wednesday night.  Jim thinks the Wild are just bad.  He did say they could trade Zach Parise if he starts playing better and is willing to waive his no-trade clause.
