Warriors Top Timberwolves
The Timberwolves lost 117-107 at Target Center against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Wolves with 26 points and 21 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins had 20 points and Josh Okogie added 19.
Jazz Top Timberwolves
The Timberwolves lost 120-100 at Utah against the Jazz Thursday night. The Wolves trailed by 9 at the end of the 1st quarter and by 9 at halftime. Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 26 points and 12 rebounds and Andrew Wiggins added 14 points.
Timberwolves, Rose Edge Suns
The Timberwolves snuck by the Phoenix Suns at home Sunday 116-114. Derrick Rose drained a fade away 20-footer with .6 seconds left to break the 114-all tie. Rose scored 29 2nd half points and finished with 31 for the game in 38 minutes.
Timberwolves Too Much For Pelicans
The Timberwolves defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 110-106 at home Saturday night. Karl-Anthony Towns went off for 27 points and 27 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins added 18 points and Josh Okogie chipped in 17 points for the Wolves.
Mavericks Edge Timberwolves
The Timberwolves lost 119-115 Friday night to the visiting Dallas Mavericks. Minnesota trailed by 11 at halftime but rallied in the 2nd half including outscoring the Mavs by 4 points in the 3rd quarter and by 3 in the 4th.
Reports; Timberwolves Fire Thibodeau
Multiple reports indicate the Timberwolves have fired team President and head coach Tom Thibodeau. The decision happened just hours after the Wolves won at home against the L.A. Lakers to improve to 19-21. Thibodeau's record in Minnesota was 97-107.
Timberwolves Fall at New Orleans
The Timberwolves lost 123-114 Monday night at New Orleans to the Pelicans. Minnesota trailed by 12 at halftime but rallied in the 3rd quarter to lead by 1 after 3 quarters. The Wolves were outscored 35-25 in the 4th quarter.
