Souhan; Cook and Diggs Impress Thursday [PODCAST]

The Vikings downed the Washington Redskins 19-9 Thursday night to improve to 6-2 this season.  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  He was impressed with the play of running back Dalvin Cook and receiver Stefon Diggs.  Cook and rookie Alexander Mattison led the ground attack and the Vikings cruised to the win despite not playing their best game.  Jim thinks Kirk Cousins was conservative in his approach due to Washington not allowing the deep pass.  Listen below.

The Gopher football team hosts Maryland Saturday.  Jim thinks this is a tougher task than their last few games but still expects the Gophers to get the win.

The Timberwolves play at Charlotte tonight.  Jim thinks Charlotte is a borderline playoff team but a team the Wolves could beat.
