Some Twin Cities Wells Fargo Employees Laid Off
ST. PAUL (AP) - Dozens of employees in the Twin Cities are among about 2,300 workers being laid off by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
The lender says it's reducing staff because a recent bump in interest rates has slowed consumer demand for refinancing. In the Twin Cities, 161 employees will lose their jobs.
Wells Fargo employs about 20,000 people in Minnesota.
