BIG LAKE -- One man is arrested after a five-month investigation by Sherburne County Authorities into the delivery of drugs into the county.

Authorities say during the investigation they intercepted more than nine lbs of marijuana.

Sheriff Joel Brott says the marijuana was being sent through the mail from Colorado to a home just outside of Big Lake. Authorities monitored the deliveries to the home in the 19000 block of County Road 43.

While executing a search warrant, the Sheriff's Office arrested 37-year-old Azad Erfanian, who was one of two people in the home. Investigators believe Erfanian had arranged previous deliveries of controlled substances to homes in Sherburne County.

The other individual in the home was not arrested, although authorities say additional arrests are possible.

Erfanian is charged with 1 count of 5th-Degree Possession, he was due in court Friday.
