Sauk Rapids Fire Chief Hangs It Up After 25 Years [AUDIO]

SAUK RAPIDS -- After spending the past seven years as the fire chief of Sauk Rapids, Tony Hommerding is retiring from the Sauk Rapids Fire Department.

Hommerding has been a fire fighter for 25 years and says it was time for someone else to lead.

Hommerding says he plans to help his sister with their business to fill his time and start finding new things to spark his interest.

Hommerding thanks the entire city of Sauk Rapids and the Fire Department for all of the support over the years and that it will be missed.

The Sauk Rapids Fire Department have named Jason Fleming interim fire chief until city council approves him.
