ST. CLOUD -- If you're heading to St. Cloud Hospital or Hester Park, you'll want to avoid 6th Avenue North for the next several weeks.

A road construction project will require flaggers which will reduce traffic to one lane for both directions.  The project will cause traffic delays and you're encouraged to find alternate routes.

The work is taking place on 6th Avenue from the BNSF Railroad tracks on the south end to 12th Street North.

Curb and gutter and sidewalk restoration are also included in the mill and overlay project.

It's expected to be completed by late August.
