Road Closures Slated for Highway 10 Project in Rice

RICE -- Some road closures get underway tomorrow in Rice as part of the Highway 10/Benton County Road 2 interchange project.

The ramp from westbound Highway 10 to the east junction of County Road 31 will close permanently tomorrow. You can access County Road 31 from the west by using East Main Street a mile farther west on Highway 10.

Also, westbound Highway 10 will be reduced to a single lane at times in that area from sunrise to sunset in non-rush hour times.

Finally, County Road 21 will be down to a single lane near County Road 2 Wednesday. Flaggers will control traffic until it is temporarily closed later in the week.

Detours will be posted.

You are asked to slow down, watch for slow moving heavy equipment and prepare to stop as you approach the construction zone.

The work marks phase one of the two-year project to improve safety at that intersection.
