FOLEY -- Residents of Foley voiced their concerns regarding some improvements for Kampa Meadows.

The city council held a public hearing last (Tuesday) night to better clarify the improvements wanting to be done in the area.

City Administrator Robert Barbian says the projects would include storm water and street repair at Kampa Meadows and for sewer water utilities and road improvements along 4th Avenue South.

Residents in the area were concerned on how these repairs would impact them.

Last month, Kampa Meadows requested to convert their 6 twin homes lots into 3 single family lots to make the lots more marketable, which the council felt would be best for the community.

After further discussion the council voted to approve the resolution on the Kampa Meadows Improvements and the 4th Avenue South renovations.

Barbian says the storm water renovations for Kampa Meadows will cost over $320,000 and the 4th Avenue South project over $500,000.

Construction for the projects could begin sometime this Spring or Summer.
