ST. CLOUD - A group of supporters toured the site of the future St. Cloud Area YMCA Community and Aquatics Center today (Tuesday). The Y held a "Raising the Wall" ceremony.

Executive Director Greg Gack says they're just a few months into construction but they remain on schedule and on budget.

They also revealed a new artist rendering of what the outside of the building will look like.

Now we know what the brick tones and things are going to look like. So that's the only thing that's really changing as we're identifying the color palettes, that's what's going to keep being released as we move forward.

Gack says they're primarily finished with their fundraising campaign. Now their big push is to get individuals and families to sign up for memberships.

We do occasionally hear, once you get it open we'll do this. Well we're hoping this will create some excitement to where people will want to join us now versus later.

Gack says a family membership for a month is $55, while a day pass for a family is $16.

The new YMCA Community and Aquatics Center is scheduled to open in May. It's being built on Northway Drive, next to the Whitney Recreation Center in St. Cloud.
