Nuclear Disaster Exercise Planned For Monticello Plant

MONTICELLO -- Another disaster exercise at the Monticello Nuclear Power Plant.

Officials with the state of Minnesota, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Homeland Security, Xcel Energy, Wright County and Sherburne County will perform the drill tomorrow.

The preparedness exercise tests the capabilities of the responding agencies in the event of a nuclear accident.

Homeland security requires the test every other year.
