HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) - Prosecutors will not file criminal charges in connection with a crash that killed two Lakeville South High School students last December.

Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom says Friday that his office reviewed the possibility of multiple charges and there's insufficient evidence to prove elements of a crime.

Seventeen-year-old Jacob Flynn and 18-year-old John Price were passengers in a truck when it rolled Dec. 4.

Backstrom says everyone in the truck was voluntarily participating in a "Nerf War" game. The investigation shows the driver may have been bumped or distracted when he lost control of the truck.

Backstrom says young people need to realize that tragedy can happen quickly and games such as Nerf War have no place in a moving vehicle because they can distract or interfere with a driver.
