MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A 17-year-old who collapsed while playing a high school basketball game in western Minnesota last week has been transferred to the University of Minnesota hospital in Minneapolis.

The family of Zach Gabbard, of Perham, posted on his CaringBridge.org web page last Sunday that the teen had arrived at the university hospital after a smooth flight. The family says he remains in critical condition, but his vital signs remain good.

The teen collapsed Thursday evening during a game at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School. A defibrillator was used on Gabbard before he was rushed to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D., for heart surgery.

There was a prayer service for Gabbard on Sunday afternoon at Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham.
