Minnesota Woman Gets Probation for Harassing Neighbors

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A woman has been sentenced to five years probation for harassing a neighboring family in White Bear Lake.

Fifty-year-old Lori Christensen pleaded guilty in July to violating a restraining order. She tried unsuccessfully to withdraw the plea at her original sentencing date in September.

As she left Monday's sentencing, Christensen said she was looking forward to her side of the story getting out.

Reports say Christensen's attorney says Christensen plans to appeal the sentence and the judge's denial of her motion to withdraw her guilty plea.

The prosecutor initially sought 10 years probation, but later found that the term was illegal.

Christensen's probation will start once she completes a separate probation for harassing the same neighbors. Christensen says she has no intention of returning to that neighborhood.
