Minnesota DJ Who Was Stalked Returning to Radio
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minnesota Public Radio rock DJ who was stalked is returning to the airwaves after taking a seven-month leave of absence.
Mary Lucia returns to 89.3 The Current with a shortened schedule starting next Monday. She went on hiatus in April.
In a letter posted on The Current's website announcing her return, Lucia said she has "felt lost and powerless."
Reports say Lucia's usual 2-6 p.m. time schedule will run Monday through Thursday, but not Friday. She also is relinquishing host duties of her Friday night show "Rock and Roll Radio" for now.
In August, 56-year-old Patrick Kelly of Eden Prairie pleaded guilty to felony stalking and terroristic threats against Lucia, shortly before his trial was to begin.
