ST. ANTHONY (AP) -- Police are searching for a St. Anthony man who has gone missing nearly a year after his son was killed by police.

Fifty-six-year-old Todd Hoffstrom was last seen at his home on September 29th.

A police bulletin says Hoffstrom had been struggling with depression and using alcohol due to employment issues and the death of his son, 30-year-old Ted Hoffstrom.

Police say Todd Hoffstrom felt blame for his son's death.

Ted Hoffstrom was shot by Orono police officers last November after he killed Stephen Larson, the doctor who delivered the younger Hoffstrom when he was born.

Todd Hoffstrom is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 205 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

He might be driving a black GMC Envoy with Minnesota license plate 950 JCA.
