UPDATE: Man Once Jailed in Officer Tom Decker Killing Denies Stalking
BUFFALO (AP) - A man who was arrested but not charged in the killing of Cold Spring police officer Tom Decker is denying new charges that he stalked his ex-girlfriend.
34-year-old Ryan Michael Larson is accused of a pattern of stalking that included calling her employer, a health care facility in Buffalo, and trying to get her fired. The charges were filed in Wright County, and a warrant was issued for his arrest Thursday.
Larson was arrested the night Officer Tom Decker was shot behind a Cold Spring bar Nov. 29. He spent four days in jail before being released.
Larson says he doesn't understand why he's been charged in the new stalking case or why people think he's still a suspect in Decker's death.
