Man Hospitalized After Bike-Car Crash in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A man on a bike was hospitalized after being hit by and trapped underneath a car.

St. Cloud Police and St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a call about a car-bike crash at East St. Germain and Franklin Avenue NE at about 11:45 a.m. yesterday.

Investigators determined that 62 year old Frank Freudenrich of Rice failed to make a complete stop at a sign, resulting in the crash with the 55 year-old bicyclist from St. Cloud.

The bicyclist had to be freed from underneath the car by ambulance and fire workers. He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Freudenrich was cited for failure to yield to a stop sign.
