Lack Of Space Has Sartell Pediatrics Set To Expand Building
SARTELL -- Sartell Pediatrics will be expanding their building next month.
The healthcare provider will begin construction on a new 3,000 square foot addition on September 8th, 2015.
Practice Manager Jill Smith says with the increase in staff and patients the building didn't have enough room to fit their needs.
"When we added our child psychologist we converted one of our exam rooms into a consult room for her, so we lost a room in that process. We also added x-rays to another exam room, so we lost another room there," says Smith.
The expansion will add about five exam rooms, a procedure room, an office, and a large consult room. Smith says along with the expansion they are actively looking to hire.
"We are looking for nurses, business office support staff, and we are also looking for a pediatrician to add to the providers we do have here already," says Smith.
Construction is expected to take four months and the business will remain open during construction. Smith hopes the work will be done by January 16th.
Sartell Pediatrics opened in October 2012.
