The St. John's football team hosts rival St. Thomas in both team's MIAC opener Saturday at 1pm at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville.  Both teams are 2-0.  St. John's is coming off a 3-point win over UW-Eau Claire last Saturday in Eau Claire.  Both the Johnnies and Tommies beat UW-Eau Claire by 3 points this season.  St. Thomas is ranked #7 in the Nation in the latest Division III poll.  St. John's is receiving votes in the top 25 poll.

Listen to Offensive Coordinator Jim Gagliardi talk with Jay Caldwell and Lee Voss on the Granite City Cafe on Am 1390-the Fan.

Gagliardi feels that they need to run the ball effectively and that St. Thomas' strength is their veteran defense.  The Tommies rolled up more than 600 yards of total offense against UW-River Falls last Saturday.

St. John's expects a big crowd for the game and encourages fans to arrive early and expects delays.
