Johnnie Football Starts Practice

The St. John's football team began practice Sunday in Collegeville.  The Johnnies were 6-4 overall in 2011 and were 5-3 in the MIAC.  The Johnnies missed the playoffs and expect better results in 2011.  St. John's may be a bit more settled at quarterback in 2011 with Connor Bruns returning as the starting quarterback.  Bruns is just a sophomore.  He closed the 2011 season with 3 touchdown passes in a blowout win over Hamline.

St. John's will host Northwestern College at 1pm in their regular season opener on September 1.
