JL Beers Coming to Downtown St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A new burger and beer restaurant is planning to open in downtown St. Cloud this year.

JL Beers is a Fargo based restaurant and is planning to move into 801 West St. Germain Street, the former home of the Landmark Tavern.

JL Beers co-owner Lance Thorson says they will purchase the property in a few months and plan to open by the end of the year. The restaurant specializes in hamburgers, fries, beer and wine.

Thorson says their hamburgers have won numerous local awards, including best burger in North Dakota.

Thorson says the restaurant will have 40 beers on tap and will be open from 11:00 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
