Another storm's heading for Minnesota, just in time for New Year's.

This time, the National Weather Service believes a system will gather strength Wednesday and pread mixed precipitation across Minnesota and west central Wisconsin on Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service believes the best chances for seeing rain and freezing rain will be across southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.

More snow is expected in west central MN and in the Dakotas.

The National Weather Service says they should have a better handle on the typ of precipitation and how much ice or snow is expected as we get closer to Wednesday.

The type of precipitation -- they say -- depends heavily on the precise track of the storm.
