FREEPORT -- Traffic is backed up for miles on westbound I-94 between Freeport and St. Cloud.

The State Patrol says two semi-trucks collided at around 7:00 this morning near Freeport. The crash has traffic completely blocked off and cars are backed up for miles.

Sergeant Jesse Grabow says if you must travel, you are advised to avoid I-94 along that stretch.

Grabow says hard packed snow is creating ice-like conditions and visibility is about 100 yards or less.

Meanwhile, the State Patrol has released the statewide crash totals so far today (Thursday).  From 5:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. they responded to 187 crashes, 18 of which involved injuries.  No crashes were serious or fatal.  They also responded to 289 vehicles off the road, or spin outs.
