Group Applies for Liquor License at Former McRudy’s Pub
ST. CLOUD -- A group of four people have filed an application for a liquor license for the former McRudy's Pub in St. Cloud.
According to the application the four either currently work in, or have worked in the bar industry.
The new bar would be called The Pickled Loon.
The application was filed by MMRB which is a Limited Liability Corporation.
The owners estimate hiring 25 employees and offering food, alcohol, live music and a DJ.
Liquor licenses require a public hearing and city council approval.
McRudy's closed last month after the city council denied the bar's liquor license renewal amid concerns over unpaid bills, overcrowding and the sale of alcohol to minors.
