The current Carolina Panther Wide Receiver told the media at the end of the regular season that he was going to take a few weeks to think about his future. Thielen said he wanted to spend time with his wife and three kids and then listen to his body.

Reports out of Charlotte say that Thielen had several family members in attendance at the Panthers final game because he was leaning toward retiring.

Thielen spoke yesterday at the media availabilities in New Orleans at the Super Bowl and said that his family knew he was close to not coming back for one more year, but other than that, he was keeping his thoughts on the process to himself.

Thielen was the Panthers representative for the NFL Man of the Year Award for his philanthropic efforts both in the Carolinas and here in Minnesota.

Thielen told an English newspaper this week that after a few week’s away, he feels he has more football in him and is looking forward to the upcoming season. Adam Thielen was taken a back a little that his remarks made such news when others around the country heard them.

Panthers.com says that Thielen is fifth among undrafted free agent receivers with 8,311 yards, 65 touchdowns on 685 passes caught.

Since the end of his career is in plain sight, I have seen several Vikings fans online pushing to bring back the Detroit Lakes native to the Vikings for what could be his final season.

That would be nice, I guess only time will tell. For now, Adam Thielen is getting himself ready for another season, which as a football fan, and a fan of Adam Thielen, I’m glad to see.

History of Minnesota Timberwolves' 1st Round Draft Picks - Year by Year

No team has probably suffered more in its history in Minnesota than the Timberwolves from playoff failures to poor decisions, see Joe Smith's contract, and bad trades it seems like the team is almost always in the wait-until-next-year mode.
