MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota's big group of returning military veterans is facing a delicate transition to family life and a rough road back into the working world.

Three thousand National Guard members — the Red Bulls — have come home in the past month. The group faces a 20 percent unemployment rate — more than three times the overall rate in Minnesota.

Chief Warrant Officer Ron Chapman of White Bear Township is among those who are suddenly juggling family and work. Chapman is looking for a job, but he's also taking over the household duties to give his wife a break from the strain of his multiple deployments.
