Fire Destroys House in North St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud fire department responded to a house fire early this (Tuesday) morning.

The fire was reported at about 6:00 a.m. at 1742 2nd Street North.  When fire crews arrived flames were coming out of three windows.

Heat melted gutters and siding on a house just to the south of the home on fire.

The house is destroyed. The cause of the fire is not known, but it likely started in the kitchen.  The damage estimate is about $70,000.

Two people were taken to St. Cloud Hospital, their condition is not known.
