Craft Beer Sampling at the Benton County Fairgrounds on Saturday

SAUK RAPIDS - A wide variety of craft beers will be available for sampling on Saturday. The "America On Tap" event is being held at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids.

Spokesman A.J. Bodden says you'll find a good selection to choose from.

A tremendous amount of craft beers that are local and regional, as well as from national breweries. We bring in beer from all over the country. We always have some good flagship beers. And, we're excited about this event being in early September to release a lot of the fall seasonal beers that are coming out.

Bodden says, if you find something you like, you'll be able to find it at your local liquor store.

All of the beer that we showcase at these events is available in the market. So, it's not like we're bringing in beer that's not available. We don't want to tease anybody with something they really enjoy but they can't buy.

Bodden says craft beer festivals like this are a good way to try something new.

When you arrive at the fairgrounds on Saturday, you'll be given a brochure that lists all the beers available, as well as sampling glass.

A special V.I.P. tasting starts at 2:00 p.m., and the general admission begins at 3:00 p.m. It is a 21-and-older event.
