BROOKLYN PARK  (AP) -- A contractor working on a project in a suburban Twin Cities home has survived a nail gun wound to the chest.

Police say the accident happened Monday afternoon in Brooklyn Park. A woman left the home while the contractor worked and returned hours later to find the man on the floor with a nail gun injury. The contractor was conscious when he was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Inspector Todd Milbourn says the man had been on the floor for a few hours with at least one nail in his chest from the pressurized gun.
