ST. CLOUD -- A $2,000,000 fundraising campaign to save Clark Field is set to get underway.  Friends of Clark Field spokeswoman Ruth Kaczor says they've received letters of support from the city of St. Cloud and the school district to move forward with the project.

The project will include installing artificial turf, removing the bleachers on the west end and adding new seating, concession area and possible press box.  The school district will continue to maintain the facility until it's gifted to the city for park and recreation space.

Kaczor says the idea is to preserve the field, which lies in the heart of the city, for generations to come.
