CHS Pitcher Fasching Throws Another No-No Friday

Cathedral junior lefty Jeff Fasching threw his second no-hitter in the month of May, shutting down Paynesville in a 2-0 win at Dick Putz Field Friday afternoon in a Section 6AA playoff game.

The Crusaders only runs came on a Bo Schmitz home run.

The Crusaders will take on Little Falls, who topped Pierz 6-1 Friday, on Monday night.

Pitcher Gabe Ploof nearly threw a no-hitter in the game for the Flyers, allowing only a seventh inning single.
