UPDATE: Adrian Peterson’s Son Has Died Following Alleged Attack

TMZ is reporting that Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrain Peterson's son is hospitalized in South Dakota.

Heartbreaking news now to report. We are getting word from multiple sources that Adrian Petetson's son has apparently died as a result of his injuries. Our deepest condolences and sympathies go out to Adrian and his family.

Adrian addressed the media earlier today at Winter Park and asked for privacy during this time and confirmed that he will be on the field for the game on Sunday.

Gossip website TMZ is reporting this morning that Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson's two year old son is in the hospital.

His son is in critical condition according to law enforcement after allegedly being "severely beaten". A 27 year old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant.

You read that right. An INFANT.

According to the criminal complaint, authorities and medical personnel were called to the home where the son was living with his mother and her boyfriend after the child was found unresponsive. The boyfriend was arrested after medical experts determined that the boy had suffered head injuries consistent with abuse.

Adrian is currently practicing at Winter Park. He was away from the team for a brief time earlier today, but is back on the field.
