WJON Welcomes New On-Air Personality Kelly Cordes [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD -- As you tune in to WJON you may hear a new voice on the morning airwaves.

Kelly Cordes is the latest addition to the WJON team and is proud to be back in familiar surroundings.

"I'm originally from Princeton and went to college in Bemidji. "

Kelly's passion for radio started back in college when she was working in both Commercial radio and public television in 1985.

Cordes also loves to sing and write music, which brought her to Kentucky over the last 20 years.

Now, back in Minnesota Kelly is ready to pick up her old roots.

"When I went to college I fell in love with broadcasting. I love to deliver stories and give people the factual information when they need it."

As a single mother of three, Cordes says her children mean the world to her.

"I'm very lucky to have all three of my boys with me,  they just wonderful boys."

Hosting a show on WJON from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Cordes feels that she will be able to appeal to the lives of her listeners.

"I think I can bring things to life that will give the audience something to add to their lives."

Cordes is glad to be a part of the WJON team and is always open to audience feedback.
