UNDATED - The seemingly never-ending cold and snow of the past few months propelled the winter of 2013-2014 into the top six coldest since the winter of 1894-1895.

The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) released their national analysis of the winter, and not surprisingly, the Upper Midwest faced the coldest temperatures of the Lower 48 states.
