
Two Dead in Overnight Violence in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Two people are dead after a stabbing and a shooting in Minneapolis.
In an email, Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said the cases of a woman who died in the stabbing and the man who died in the shooting were not related.
The first happened at about 11:40 p.m. Friday, when officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He died at a local hospital.
About 2 1/2 hours later, police responded to a report of a struggle and found a woman with an apparent stab wound. She died of her injuries at a local hospital.
Police are looking for suspects in both cases.
