The Granite City Kennel Club Dog Show Was A Hit [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD - The annual Granite City Kennel Club Dog Show had a great turn out this year.

Karen Derr had her portuguese water dog Beamer in the show and says that confirmation shows like this one are more laid back than performance shows. Confirmation dog shows are based on the dog's structure and movement rather than a performance show that highlights agility or obedience.

Sheila Daly put her dog Curtsy in the show. Curtsy is a purebred havanese. She is a companion dog and she looked like she had a professional blowout done to her hair.

Daly says that she originally got started doing dog shows because she felt bad leaving her dog at home by herself all day and wanted to do more activities with her dog.

Over 100 dogs competed Saturday and Sunday at River's Edge Convention Center.
