One person has died and at least two others have been injured when a powerful storm toppled trees in a northeastern Minnesota forest. The Cook County Sheriff's Office responded to two separate calls in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the Superior National Forest about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
The recent warm weather and rain could have some affects on fish houses out on county lakes. Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says ice fisherman should not wait until last minute to removed their fish houses.
A community meeting in Paynesville put on by Patty and Jerry Wetterling has been postponed for tonight (Monday) due to weather. The meeting was meant as a way to help central Minnesota residents cope with recent developments in their son's case.
