Two local 8th grade students will compete in the Multi-Region State Spelling Bee this (Monday) afternoon. John Byun of St. Cloud and Morgan Paulson of Sauk Rapids-Rice took first and second place at the Regional Spelling Bee earlier this month.
The St. Cloud area will be well represented after two local 8th graders advanced in this (Thursday) morning's Regional Spelling Bee. 8th Grader John Byun, from St. Cloud, took first place with the word Ravioli, while 8th grader Morgan Paulson of Sauk Rapids-Rice took 2nd place.
An eighth grade Sauk Rapids-Rice student has been eliminated from the Multi-State Regional Bee. Braden Martini, who won the Central Minnesota Regional Spelling Bee, lost in the first round of today's (Monday) contest held in Fergus Falls.
