The St. John's University rugby team came up short in their final matchup of the weekend.

The Minnesota Wild kept the momentum going in LA with a win over the Kings, the Granite City Lumberjacks, Johnnies, and NDSU Bison posted dominant shutout wins, the Golden Gopher football team came out on top against Nebraska, and the SCSU men's hockey team came up short in their homecoming matchup against the University of Minnesota on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings are heading to North Carolina to face the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

The Minnesota Twins rallied for a win over Oakland, while the Timberwolves recorded a loss. The St. Cloud State University softball team fell in their NSIC Tournament run, and the St. John's University baseball team dropped game one of the weekend series to Hamline.

The Minnesota Wild rallied for a win against St. Louis in overtime, the Timberwolves fell to New Orleans in OT, and the Twins got blown out by Kansas City. Meanwhile, collegiate baseball and softball teams ended up with three sweeps and a split.

It was a rough day for state and local sports teams as the Minnesota Twins, Wild, St. Cloud State men's hockey and baseball teams, St. John's University baseball team, and St. Cloud Norsemen all suffered losses on Saturday.

The St. John's University baseball team came out ahead against the Concordia College Cobbers, while the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Timberwolves, and St. Cloud Norsemen all recorded losses. Here's a look at your Saturday sports recap:
