For some area residents, tomorrow (Tuesday) is election day. The special election for the House District 14A seat is a three-way race between Independence Party candidate Todd McKee, Democrat Joanne Dorsher, and Republican Tama Theis.
Democrats have endorsed Joanne Dorsher for the vacated House District 14A seat at a convention that was closed to the public. The convention on Saturday was at the St. Cloud Public Library.
The field has been set for a special election in Minnesota House District 14A. Three candidates are on the ballot for a special election Tuesday, February 12th.
Republicans have endorsed St. Cloud business owner Tama Theis in the race for the vacated House District 14A seat. The GOP had seven rounds of voting Saturday. The final ballot came down to Theis and John Severson, a former St. Cloud City Council member.
Two more people have filed for a special election February 12th that will fill a House of Representatives seat left vacant with the resignation of Steve Gottwalt.
