Dr. Robbyn Wacker

Last month St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker reportedly stepped down as President a month before she was expected. Turns out that wasn't true. She joined me on WJON this week. Wacker indicated she is still President until June 30.

St. Cloud State University and the city of St. Cloud are two separate entities but both depend on each other for strength. St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker joined me on WJON to examine how the University can do better and how the community can affect the University.

St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker revealed in late November of 2023 that she would be leaving the University June 30, 2024, when her contract expires. Wacker joined me on WJON today and explained the reasons why she is choosing to leave the University and her plans going forward.

St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker says the University is always looking at ways to adjust what they do to get students excited and engaged in what they are doing.

On May 8th St. Cloud State at approximately 10:45 p.m., a campus alert was generated and sent via email and text to registered students, faculty, and staff of the Star Alert system for emergency messaging.

Wacker is thanking local lawmakers for advocating for St. Cloud State and the Minnesota state system as a whole.

St. Cloud State would like to see some of their living and learning spaces upgraded and bonding dollars from the state could go toward that. SCSU President Dr. Robbyn Wacker joined me on WJON.

Learning and the ways people learn has changed quite a bit in the past few years. St. Cloud State has grown their online MBA program (Masters of Business Administration) over the past few months.

St. Cloud State has a group of students who will be participating in two different scientific eclipse ballooning studies in October of this year and April of 2024. St. Cloud State University Assistant Professor of Meteorology and Scientific Education Dr. Rachel Humphrey and St. Cloud State University President Dr. Robbyn Wacker joined me on WJON.

The school year is underway and St. Cloud State's President Dr. Robbyn Wacker is excited about the feeling around campus right now. She says the campus has a much different feel this year as opposed to the last couple of years due to adjustments made for the pandemic.
