St. Cloud Hospital COVID-19 numbers aren't better or worse this week compared to last week. CentraCare Spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON again this week. He says the COVID-19 Delta variant surge continues with numbers hospitalized in the mid 50s with 18 of those in the ICU/Critical Care Unit.
The hospitalized COVID-19 numbers within CentraCare are up and more alarmingly the ICU/Critical Care numbers have increased at a higher rate. CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON this week. He says they have 20 ICU/Critical care unit patients at St. Cloud Hospital with half of them on ventilators.
The Delta Variant COVID-19 surge is continuing to impact CentraCare and St. Cloud Hospital. CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON. He says we are still seeing a surge with 37 people hospitalized with the Delta variant of COVID-19 with 12 of those in the ICU/Critical Care unit.
With students preparing to head back into the classroom, health officials are encouraging families to take precautions as the delta variant continues to surge across the country.
CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris joined me on WJON today. He says St. Cloud Hospital now has 15 positive cases of COVID-19 with 5 of those in the ICU. Those numbers are up from the week before. He says the majority of cases in the hospital are unvaccinated people. Morris says it is rare for someone who is vaccinated to develop severe COVID-19 symptoms.

He says among the 5, three have not been vaccinated while 2 have received a vaccine but have pre-existing compromised immune systems.
