SAUK RAPIDS -- The St. Cloud SWAT team is sending ten members to compete in the 2013 World Police-Fire Games in Belfast, Ireland.

They held a spaghetti dinner Thursday night at the Sauk Rapids VFW to raise money for their trip in August.

Last year the team competed in the Can-Am Police Fire Games where they took the Gold Medal. Police Sergeant, Marty Sayre says he had a bet with St. Cloud Mayor, Dave Kleis.

Kids were able to go inside and tour the SWAT vehicle as well as see demonstrations of the latest in SWAT technology.

Sayre says even though they don't know what events they will be competing in, they are still training.

Sayre says he thinks the trip will cost about $30,000 to send ten of their members. The team will be up against over 10,000 competitors from about 70 countries. You can drop off donations at the St. Cloud Police Department.
