ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police have made an arrest in a shooting at a park that left one man dead and another injured.

Police spokesman Steve Linders said Monday a 24-year-old Minneapolis man has been booked on suspicion of homicide.

Officers encountered about 300 people as they arrived at Indian Mounds Regional Park Sunday night in what Linders describes as a chaotic scene. Police were called to the park on reports of a group of people fighting and shots fired. They found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Linders says another man was hit by gunfire, was treated at Regions Hospital and released. Investigators are trying to piece together the events that led up to the shooting.
