ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud's unemployment rate for May was 5.7%. That's an uptick from the 5.1% in April, but still a full percentage point below the March rate of 6.7%.

The figures, released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, are not seasonally adjusted.

St. Cloud's unemployment numbers are higher than the county's unadjusted rate of 5% and higher than the statewide unadjusted rate of 5.2%. St. Cloud's unemployment is still well below the national average however which was 7.9% in May.
