ST. CLOUD -- With so many choices around the St. Cloud area to get your sports fix, you may not even realize the St. Cloud Technical and Community College has an athletic program.

Athletic Director John Haller says they have baseball, softball, volleyball and men's and women's basketball. Haller says all of their teams are now competing in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and are part of the National Junior College Athletic Association. He says it means they are eligible for postseason play and national championships.

But, the school doesn't offer athletic scholarships. Haller says they want athletes to be students first.  Even so, Haller says they want to win and are committed to competing for national championships.

The school's baseball program is one of the best. They made it to the Junior College World Series last year. Haller says softball came close and they have good programs in volleyball and basketball too.

The teams play at the Whitney Recreation Center, Dick Putz Field and at the Babe Ruth Complex in Waite Park.
